Handmade Roasted Sesame Dressing (Non-Oil)

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp White sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Sugar

  • 1½ tbsp Soy sauce

    Toast the sesame seeds

    Place the white sesame seeds in a dry frying pan over medium-low heat. Toast for 1 to 2 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until fragrant and lightly golden. Remove from the heat and allow them to cool slightly.

    Grind the sesame

    Transfer the toasted sesame seeds to a mortar and pestle. Grind until finely crushed and aromatic.

    Mix the dressing

    Place the ground sesame seeds in a bowl. Add the apple cider vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Stir well with a spoon until the sugar dissolves and the dressing is smooth.
